Miguel Benito
Miguel Benito – Physiotherapist – Advanced Bobath Instructor IBITA
Miguel Benito trained as a physiotherapist at the European University of Madrid in Spain, which he successfully completed in 2003. In 2012 obtained a MSc in Health Research at the Complutense University of Madrid in Spain.
Since 2008 he has been an associate professor at the Pontifical University of Salamanca in Madrid, in the Faculty of Physiotherapy, teaching Neurological Physiotherapy to undergraduate students.
He became an IBITA recognized Basic Instructor in 2013 and Advanced in 2021. Miguel has been involved in IBITA commitments, as a member of the Research Committee and currently joining the Instructor Training Committee, which consists on the ongoing education of therapists currently in training to become IBITA instructors, as well as provide continuous training to instructors.
Miguel’s clinical career began at the LESCER Neurorehabilitation Center (Madrid, Spain) where he worked as a physiotherapist and became head of the Research and Training Department. In 2015 and 2016 he worked as a physical therapist at Physio-Logic Neurological Rehabilitation (Toronto, Canada). Currently, Miguel is co-director of the Centre of Terapia Especializada en Neurología in Madrid providing neurological physiotherapy.
